Safety & Training
The safety of our employees is our number one priority. However, unlike businesses with a fixed work location, our employees are out in the field where we cannot completely remove potentially hazardous conditions.
To combat this, all of our employees are trained to safely use our equipment, identify onsite hazards, take precautionary steps to minimize those hazards, and provide first-aid in the event that an injury occurs.
This is achieved through two primary means. First, we have a state-certified safety committee that meets every month to identify, create, and implement new safety procedures for our staff. Then, we hold bi-weekly “Tailgate Talks” during which we provide safety information and training based on the procedures laid out by our safety committee.
Thanks to these ongoing programs, J. Downend Landscaping has been able to maintain a safe working environment for decades.
